The JJJJound x New Balance 2002R “Green” Gets Covered in Gore-Tex

After dropping the 2002R "Storm Blue" just three weeks ago, it looks like JJJJound is ready to take on the old school silhouette once again, this time with the upcoming JJJJound x New Balance 2002R “Green.” While Justin Saunders' first pair was pretty much exactly what we all expected, his second one elevates the model to rugged new heights.

Working on top of a slick black mesh base, the "Green" is overlaid by panels and panels of buttery forest green suede throughout, quite like the JJJJound x New Balance 992 that dropped back in 2020. Stealthy leather details make the sneaker even more premium, but just in case that wasn't enough, the social media moodboard-turned-global fashion label has also lined the entire upper with Gore-Tex, so you can take on the elements in style.

Rugged rope laces tie everything together, and underfoot, the N-ERGY midsole is completely blacked out and infused with ABZORB tech for additional comfort and cushioning. All of this then comes packed in a special JJJJound-branded shoebox, finalising the collab.

Not much else is known about the JJJJound x New Balance 2002R “Green” at this moment in time, but expect it to release within the coming weeks. Let us know what you think of this upcoming colourway, and in related news, the Up There x New Balance 1906R is a metallic masterpiece!
